Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Purchasing Coordinator assumes responsibility for the procurement of goods to fulfil the needs of Lindy’s customer base. Working together with other Lindy purchasing teams and the warehouse team to ensure a smooth service and the best customer experience possible constantly reviewing and improving the service they provide.
The Purchasing Coordinator will be a strong forecaster effectively using the tools available to predict the correct levels of stock considering long lead times.  As an excellent communicator the Purchasing Coordinator will build strong relationships with all the relevant Lindy teams such as product management, technical and the marketing and sales teams to ensure they obtain feedback and a clear understanding of customer needs, projects, campaigns to ensure an ability for future fulfilment. 


To apply for this role you will need:

· Have experience in purchasing and forecasting taking into account long lead times

· Strong communication skills both verbal and written

· Be commercially minded when considering purchasing requirements and costs associated with transport of goods

· Exceptionally organised with a good attention to detail.

· Some line management experience would be beneficial


· Identify and accurately forecast purchasing requirements using relevant tools and feedback gained from across the business.

· Build beneficial relationships with marketing, sales, and product management to understand projected customer requirements

· Ensure timely placing and delivery of purchase orders and update management of any issues on the status of orders.

· Ensure all processes for managing and updating stock levels are accurately completed in a timely manner

· Create good co-ordination and effective working relations within the purchasing team and with other teams

· Arranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery.

· To liaise with all Lindy Group partners to exploit economies of scale purchasing wherever possible.

· Develop the purchasing team’s monthly report and improvement plans for management

· Be proactive in identifying and removing obstacles that may impact the customer experience

· To complete any non-compliances resulting from stock issues and to take the appropriate corrective action

· Lead, coach, develop and work collaboratively with buying assistant to ensuring targets and objectives are met.  Sharing knowledge and delegating where necessary
