AT THE MANNHEIM HEADQUARTERS
At our headquarters in Mannheim, we have implemented a range of measures relating to energy generation, electric mobility and the design of our outdoor areas. These include a combined heat and power plant (CHP), a photovoltaic system, charging stations for electric vehicles and green spaces designed to support insects.

COMBINED HEAT AND POWER
The combined heat and power plant operates according to the principle of cogeneration. It uses natural gas to generate electricity and the resulting waste heat for heating. This combination reduces the environmental impact compared with conventional heating and electricity generation methods.
Feed-in
The photovoltaic system on the glass roof of our administration building covers just under 22 percent of the roof area and has an installed capacity of 55.3 kWp.
In 2025, the photovoltaic system and combined heat and power plant generated approximately 36,945 kWh of electricity together. A large proportion of this was used directly on site, with the remaining electricity fed into the public grid. The amount of electricity generated on site therefore corresponded to approximately 42 percent of our electricity consumption at the site.
Electric Mobility
Charging stations for electric vehicles are available on our company premises. Lindy employees can use these to charge their electric vehicles.
Habitats
Part of our site comprises an area of approximately 1,700 m² with meadows and shrubs. Insect-friendly flowering plants have been deliberately established there.
The natural meadow provides food and habitat for various insect species. At the same time, it provides shelter and feeding opportunities for wildlife such as brown hares, squirrels and numerous bird species.
