Au d\u00e9but, HDMI\u00ae \u00e9tait principalement utilis\u00e9 pour connecter des lecteurs DVD et des t\u00e9l\u00e9viseurs, mais au cours des deux derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies, la norme n&rsquo;a cess\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9voluer en raison des exigences croissantes en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9solution d&rsquo;image et de qualit\u00e9 audio.<br\/><br\/>De la prise en charge de la r\u00e9solution 1080p au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2000 \u00e0 la norme actuelle HDMI\u00ae 2.1, qui permet de diffuser des vid\u00e9os avec des r\u00e9solutions allant jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 8K et des taux de rafra\u00eechissement \u00e9lev\u00e9s, HDMI\u00ae a r\u00e9volutionn\u00e9 la mani\u00e8re dont nous vivons le divertissement. Avec une bande passante maximale de 48 Gbit\/s (\u00e0 titre de comparaison : 18Gbit\/s pour HDMI\u00ae 2.0), HDMI\u00ae 2.1 permet la transmission de vid\u00e9os 8K et 4K \u00e0 des taux de rafra\u00eechissement \u00e9lev\u00e9s (8K peut d\u00e9sormais \u00eatre lu pour la premi\u00e8re fois \u00e0 60Hz), ce qui garantit une exp\u00e9rience visuelle plus fluide et plus d\u00e9taill\u00e9e. Les contrastes, la luminosit\u00e9 et les couleurs sont ainsi optimis\u00e9s pour une repr\u00e9sentation encore plus r\u00e9aliste et d\u00e9taill\u00e9e des images. Ainsi, alors que le HDR repr\u00e9sente d\u00e9j\u00e0 une nette am\u00e9lioration par rapport au SDR (<strong>S<\/strong>tandard <strong>D<\/strong>ynamic <strong>R<\/strong>ange) conventionnel, le Dynamic HDR \u00e9l\u00e8ve la qualit\u00e9 d&rsquo;image \u00e0 un niveau encore plus \u00e9lev\u00e9. Il permet de transmettre de l&rsquo;audio haute r\u00e9solution non compress\u00e9, comme le Dolby TrueHD et le DTS-HD Master Audio, via un c\u00e2ble HDMI\u00ae. L&rsquo;eARC offre ainsi une qualit\u00e9 audio nettement sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle de l&rsquo;ARC traditionnel et g\u00e9n\u00e8re ainsi une exp\u00e9rience sonore impressionnante et immersive &#8211; id\u00e9ale pour les syst\u00e8mes de home cin\u00e9ma.
