It’s important that modern meeting and conference rooms use the latest advances in collaboration technology to present and interact with information in an engaging way. Lindy collaboration technology allows you to take meeting rooms to the next level with flexible control options and stunning high resolution content.
These days most buildings are wired with Cat.6 Ethernet cables, which can be utilised using HDBaseT technology. This is where the HDBaseT Extender comes into play. It can be used to send up to five different kinds of IT signals over a single Cat.6 Ethernet cable up to 100m long: audio and video as HDMI, Ethernet, IR remote control signals and RS232, plus the power for the receiver (to avoid having to install an additional mains socket at the display). This lets you use the installed network lines to deliver AV content to different parts of a building (e.g. for digital signage) while also supplying network-enabled displays or applications with Ethernet.
Network projectors that are configurable via Ethernet are often installed where they are awkward to access, like under the ceiling. This is a case in which the HDBaseT Extender comes in handy, as it is able to provide the required Ethernet connection, transmit the AV signals and deliver power (mains outlets are a rarity on ceilings, after all), all via a single Cat.6 cable.
