When bridging very long distances, sophisticated optical technology is needed. Lindy fibre optic extenders leverage this technology to deliver very high performance, with data speeds of up 20Gbps over incredible distances.

Copper based solutions are limited by the distance they can operate over. Where a copper-based Cat.x solution may only be able to achieve digital signal transmission up to 100 metres, fibre optic based systems are capable of covering distances over many kilometres without data compression.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Lindy Fibre Optic Extenders use fibre optic patch cables to make the long distance connection. The fibre cable is immune from any electrical interference making it an ideal solution for hospitals and industrial applications.

The source and display are connected using standard DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort cables depending on the installation requirements.
Fibre Optic Extenders may be cutting edge in terms of technology, but installation couldn’t be easier. A single fibre optic cable simply plugs in to the transmitter and receiver modules.
Lindy plug-in fibre extension modules conveniently connect directly to ports on the source and display.
