Additionally allows definition of up to 2 video walls
Lindy’s 8×8 Seamless Matrix Switch for resolutions up to 4K UHD (3840×2160@60Hz) offers features far beyond the common functionality of a matrix switch. This allows any number of selectable outputs to be linked together, which can then switch one of the 8 input signals to output as partial images of a video wall with n x m displays.
The switch can be operated using buttons on the front, IR remote control or WebGUI.
Up to 2 video walls can be defined
Up to 2 video walls can be defined from the available 8 outputs. Each of the 8 input signals can be placed either on a video wall or – if not all 8 outputs are used for video walls – on one of the remaining outputs. Up to 2 video walls can be defined from the available 8 outputs. The frame compensation (Bezel Correction) can be defined in the configuration software according to the screen type used.
Variable coupling and uncoupling of audio and IR signals
Audio signals can be fed or decoupled separately for each input and output. This means that both external audio signals can be embedded in the HDMI data stream and embedded audio data can be played either on external audio devices or – if they remain embedded in the HDMI data stream – directly on the respective display. IR remote control signals can be input and output separately for each input and output in the same way. The signal routing follows exactly that of the HDMI signals.
Thanks to freely definable video walls, content can be quickly switched from the video wall to individual displays and back.
Configuration and administration via WebGUI
The system is configured and administered via an IP network using software or a WebGUI in which all settings can be defined in detail. Once the routings have been set, they can be saved as up to 8 presets. The most important settings can be reached using the front buttons on the device. For demo and presentation purposes, any input can be sent to any output in any order, time-controlled and with adjustable timeout. For demo and presentation purposes, any inputs can be sent to any outputs one after the other in any order, time-controlled and with adjustable timeout.
With this product, Lindy addresses professional users in the retail sector and in experience and entertainment, where product pictures and descriptions or sports events with different priorities are to be shown on large video walls as main displays or spatially distributed individual displays.
The system will be presented at ISE 2020 as part of a more complex solution scenario and can be ordered from our experts, who will be happy to advise you in detail in advance, or directly from the Lindy Web Shop from around the end of February 2020.
